- Tell us about « Stupid Guerriers »
The CD brings together prestigious names in the French hip-hop scene.
The songs were created especially for the project, and the executive producer created a « color » for all the pieces : a blend of « cheap » electronic sounds from the 80’s or with African roots. On the program : Ekoue (La Rumeur), Specta (ex. Saïan Supa Crew), Iron Sy (B.O.S.S., and BO de Banlieue 13), Loo Ranks, Expression Direkt,...
The CD is sold at FNAC, Virgin, etc., price : 14€90.
- How did you enter into contact with the directors ?
In my second year at Lisaa, I did a press kit for a member of the production team and we kept in contact. When we first discussed it, I accepted the project because they gave me carte blanche for the all the graphics : CD, album cover, poster, etc. Suddently, I could continue developing the work I began at Lisaa for my diploma project.
- Tell us about your work
First, I assemble images, drawings, and objects in relation to what is going on today. I work them in vectoriel, on Illustrator. When my visual data bank is large enough, I assemble and combine everything.
My work uses graphic icons which I borrow and rework. At Lisaa, my teacher Stéphane Calais helped me progress in this way. He talked of « activism ».
