| Pauline Martin, who graduated from Lisaa in 1997, published a new comic book with David B’s script.
She will dedicate it at the Young People’s Book Salon in Montreuil, 128 rue de Paris, on Saturday November 27 at the Comic Strip Archipel from 6 to 8 P.M.
" Like Don Quixote, who felt the need to run around the world defying windmills in response to the overdose of books on knights’ feats, Leonora, a young Italian countess, inspired by the exploits of the Round Table heros seeking the Holy Grail, sets off with her horse and cat. Is this quest for the mystic cup having held Christ’s blood an appropriate adventure for a 16th century young lady ? White and black magic, erotic hermits, ferocious giants, sensual witches, disconnected demons, abusive phantoms, magical animals and musical knights mark a path scattered by a thousand traps and carnal or spiritual temptations to which it would be so easy to give in. The apprenticeship of a woman on a path usually reserved for masculine toughness … A splendid adventure ! A complex world depicted in an enchanted album, linking fresh, modern tales with old world wisdom … a cross between Pasolini and Puss in Boots. " |
