- How did you meet your publisher ?

It was just by chance : at the Montreuil book fair, I met a girl, Zoé Vanneau, who is an author. Her texts were bought by the Siloé publishing house. They asked me to illustrate the book.

- What is the story of "Siloé au pays des nuages ensommeillés" ?

It is the story of a little girl, Siloé, who goes into her dreams with her airplane. She crosses landscapes, plays with the clouds, etc. Then, she meets a plant that is drying up because it lacks water. She goes off in search of water with her plane to save the plant. « Siloé » is an ecological fable.

- - When was Siloé published ?

My book came out in October. It is still a bit early to know if sales are good but I am thinking positive : ecology is a trendy subject and also a teaching theme in nursery schools this year. And the publisher appreciated the book and selected it as a favorite for the Baobab contest. « Siloé » is on sale in most bookstores and on the web site : www.siloe.fr

- Do you have other projects ?

I will publish another book at Siloé, «"MOK monstre mangeur de mots"(MOK, the word-eating monster), which will come out in January : the story of a monster who east letters and transforms words. It will be part of the « Ma Langue au chat » collection. It is a teaching book for small children.

- Can your readers meet you ?

Yes. I will be signing books at the Montreuil fair at Siloé Editions’ stand on December 4 from 11 :00 A.M. and from 2 to 3 :00 P.M. at the illustrators organization stand. I will also participate at an exhibit-sale in an apartment, during an event organized by Citrons Rose between December 9th and 11th. Also the same weekend, I will share a shop in the Marais (38, rue des Francs Bourgeois, 4th arrondissement) with five other designers.

- Do you have other activities ? ?

I continue working as a freelance illustrator. I do abstract paintings using the pseudonym « Mélo ». At the end of October, I will exhibit at the GMAC (Grand Marché de l'Art Contemporain), Place de la Bastille, Paris. Things are going well and I have a lot of projects.
