Lisaa students can apply to France’s highly competitive, major fine arts schools. A look at those in the 2005 graduating class fortunate enough to have been accepted.
Stéphanie Aujean, accepted at Duperré
« I never did any art studies before Lisaa and I didn’t expect to be admitted to Duperré. It was a nice surprise. I was accepted in an Upgrade Class and I’ll specialize next year, probably in Fashion or Fabric Design. At the beginning of the year, I found the rhythm a bit too calm because I was used a lot of work at Lisaa. But the pace has speeded up and I am finding my bearings. »
Lucie Wullschleger, accepted at ENSA
« During the first year at Arts Decoratifs, we do a bit of everything before specializing for the rest of our studies which lasts four years. ENSAD has extraordinary means : cameras, a photo studio, silkscreening equipment, sculpture and oil painting studios, a metal workshop, etc. »
Karia Kabbaj, accepted to Central Saint Martins in London
« I chose Central Saint Martins because it is a school with an international reputation. Many currently famous designers went there and it is a good step for becoming a fashion designer. At the end of foundation year, I will present two portfolios : one for the fashion department and one for contemporary art since this area also interests me.
Lisaa helped me a lot. I learned to better judge my work and be honest with my projects. This is important because at Central Saint Martins we have a lot of freedom. »
