Antoine graduated from Lisaa Nantes in 2006
- What were the first steps of your professional life ?
I did a two month internship in Paris and followed that with an Autocad course. I signed up with temp agencies specializing in architecture like Hays Architecte or Archibat. Finally, I was hired full-time at « La Halle aux Vêtements ».
- What is your job ?
I handle their stores’ interior layout, both the employee areas and the sales floors. These surfaces are more than 1000 square meters. I deal with office space, partitions and fire walls … and I place display equipment and furniture.
- Is there a lot of work ?
Yes. La Halle aux Vêtements has over 400 stores. I work on 10 to 15 projects at once : new stores, renovations, transformations …
- Do you like it ?
A lot. Each plan is different and each project is enriching. I am in touch with on-location contract coordinators and architects … there are many restrictions but that makes it interesting.
- What are your short and mid-term projects ?
Two or three years from now I hope to be a project manager. « La Halle aux Chaussures » is part of the Vivarte group with 19 stores in France and internationally. Perhaps I’ll move into a different service or structure within the group.
- Do you appreciate the structure in which you work ?
I’ve been lucky to have been hired by a big group and I like that. There are many possible evolutions and links between their services. During my first week on the job, I visited a store in Lorient … And the salaries, plus bonuses based on results, are very interesting.
- Do you feel that you were well-trained at Lisaa ?
Lisaa gave me an architectural background, a global vision and a work method. When you have 1400 square meters of a store to organize, that is precious …
