MANAGEMENT OF DIGITAL TECHNIQUES AND PRODUCTION

Optional complementary postgraduate course

Open to graduates of LISAA's 2D/3D animation or Video Game courses, the postgraduate "Management of Digital Techniques and Production" course is a complementary course which teaches the transversal skills required of a project manager.

The 4 semesters of a traditional University Masters degree brought together in one 16 month study period.

- Technicality : the students must push the boundaries of their software knowledge, combine 2D and 3D techniques for complex projects and optimize the quality and timescale of their proposals.

- Originality : : the students have to innovate constantly and be able to satisfy specific audiences. The contents must be adapted to various media, from cinema to mobile phones.

- Experience : the aim of the postgraduate course is to capitalize on experience gained in the company simulator and during work experience which initiate the students to a real company's work rhythm.

-Transversality : LISAA's postgraduate course creates project managers and high level creative technicians who are ready for transversal assignments.

Phase 1 and 2: professional simulator and seminaries

- The studio simulator : a novel in-school organisation and project.

- The aim : the postgraduate's task is to acquire the real transversal experience which leads to being a project manager.

- The project : the students produce a TV series. Once they have produced a highly developed animatic of the episode and the visual screenplay design, they produce a pilot in the shape of a full episode or test-animation.

-- Organisation : the students work together as a production team similar to that of a professional studio. This form of organisation quickly develops skills and helps each student's specialization.

- Workspace : a specific workspace with a dedicated workroom, a computer laboratory and a meeting room for production management are set aside for this workshop.

Phase 3 and 4: professional integration

- Work experience (phase 3 and 4) : our students take part in long term contracted work experience under the supervision of a tutor. They participate in complex production projects. As part of a professional team they apply the creative solutions and techniques as well as the organisational skills they have acquired throughout their studies. In this way they gain the experience required to access key job positions.

- Seminaries (phase 4) : two large modules which help the students' recruitment in their domain and their calm and efficient undertaking of the job: professional culture and professional recruitment.
