Career interview with Audrey Philippon, film restorer

Audrey received her diploma from Lisaa in 2002

- What were the first steps of your professional career ?

After Lisaa, I did a few graphic design jobs. I created a 3D clip for a clothing brand. Then I got a job at Full Image, a company specializing in film restoration.

- - How does Full Image work ?

We have two developers who have fine-tuned their own software. The algorithms treat different types of film defects in a very specific way, in a 100% digital procedure.

- What does your job consist of at Full Image ?

I am a product manager. I manage a film’s resoration along the entire chain from the treatment to viewing. I like movies and this is what I like about my job : I am in charge of incredibly amazing films. For example, I worked on restoring Jean Cocteau’s « La Belle et la Bete ».

- Do you have advice to give Lisaa students ?

It’s a bit difficult because I work in an area far different from compositing, animation or video games. But I believe it is the same everywhere : you must be motivated and persevere in order to succeed
