Sound is an integral part of a game or animation. In this course, the student learns both to handle sound management software and its placement in order to optimize both music and the sounds artistic impact.

Studio son de Lisaa
In order to create coherent characters and animations, the student develops his observation of the living model. Models alternate fixed and dynamic poses to show how bone structure and muscles interact with the skin.

Cours d'anatomie - morphologie
Developing a project relies on creating a graphic universe. We begin by precisely analyzing the story’s needs and then creating different documents (model sheets, decors, layouts) which will be used later for production.

Portfolio d'un étudiant
Whoever has the ambition to become a graphic designer must forge a solid visual culture knowledge : animation history allows the student to situate current work in its context. A strict analysis of images is an essential step for becoming conscious of their artistic value.

A good film begins with a good story. This course teaches the student to structure his narrative and give it visual rhythm. After having edited the scenario and script, he moves on to the storyboard : creating images by the use of a cinematographical vocabulary (camera position, action, splicing …).

Story - board, 2ème année
Compositing is a key post-production step : it means giving coherence to the different scenes. In this course, the student learns to manage overlaid images, color balance and how to retouch animated sequences.
Compositing pour le film "Graphiti"
2D production involves multiple aspects : the definition of a project’s graphic identity, creation of decors and layouts, etc.
Giving the illusion of movement is animation’s main challenge. It is thus necessary to discover and immerse oneself in traditional techniques : cutting up action, exaggerating movement, maintaining continuity and rhythm, splicing scenes …

Salles informatiques de Lisaa
3D Production covers all the realities of creating mobile images in three dimensions.
- Modeling characters : preparing filament models of characters using a selection of various software.
- Decors and environments : camera positioning makes sense when following the storyboard.
- Rendering and lighting : managing light sources, shadows, atmosphere.
- 3D Animation : This discipline is subdivided in different specialities : animating a character’s skeleton, animating the face, animating effects (draped fabric, skin, etc.).
Production 3D pour le film "Graphiti"
Lisaa students are trained in the specifics of multimedia. In order to prototype their project or video game presentations, they learn to use different software : Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash … These tools also allow them to manage numerous 2D elements from video games (menus, icons, life bars, etc.).

Salles informatiques de Lisaa
The game designer creates and directs video games. He defines a project’s stakes, its universe and style. But he must also compose his project using the video game’s defining elements : interactivity with the player and the game to be played. During the course, students work as much on scenarios and storyboards as on the game’s mechanical aspects.
Making of du jeu "Totem"
Lisaa students learn to use 3DS Max and Maya software. This course includes modeling (adaptation of documents conceived during the 3D preparation phase), lighting effects, creating texture and rigging characters (putting skeletons into place which will animate characters).

Salles informatiques de Lisaa
This course helps students manage the movements of the characters and objects they have created. More than just an animation course, attention is focused on the medium the game is to be used for (television, PC, cell phone …).
Making of du jeu "Totem"
To technically manage interactivity between the player and the environment created, Lisaa students learn Virtools technology. They acquire a mastery of the script, managing collisions, controling characters, camera placements, etc. At the end of this course, students will have created a perfect, ready-to-go demo tape.
